Overview
Pekat Badminton 2026 is a corporate badminton tournament organized to strengthen teamwork, sportsmanship, and networking among employees and subsidiaries within the Pekat Group. The tournament provides a competitive yet enjoyable platform for participants to showcase their badminton skills while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
The event will feature multiple badminton categories, team-based participation, and structured tournament brackets designed for fair and exciting matches. Through this tournament, participants can build stronger relationships, encourage collaboration across departments and companies, and foster a positive corporate culture through sports.

Tournament Information & Regulations
1. Tournament Format
The tournament will be conducted using a team competition format.
- Each subsidiary or combined subsidiary team will be represented by one team.
- Total number of teams: 6
- The teams will be divided into two groups:
* Group A
* Group B
- Each group will consist of three teams.
2. Official Teams
The participating teams are:
1. Pekat E&LP
2. Pekat Solar
3. Pekat Teknologi
4. Pekat RE Maintenance
5. Solaroo Systems
6. Solaroo RE + Pnexsoft + Pekat Engineering
3. Match Categories
Each team tie will consist of the following four matches:
1. Men’s Singles 1 — 1 male player
2. Men’s Doubles 1 — 2 male players
3. Men’s Doubles 2 — 2 male players
4. Women’s Doubles — 2 female players
The team that wins the majority of the four matches will win the team tie.
4. Team Requirements
Each team must register:
- 7 main players
- Minimum of 5 male players
- Minimum of 2 female players
- Up to 3 substitute players
- Maximum total roster of 10 players
5. Team Captain Responsibilities
Each team must appoint a Team Captain.
The Team Captain will be responsible for:
- Communicating with tournament officials.
- Submitting the team’s match line-up.
- Ensuring that all players comply with the tournament regulations.
6. Match Line-Up Submission
- Team line-ups must be submitted at least five minutes before each round.
- Players are not allowed to change categories once a round has started.
Tournament Structure
7. Group Stage
The tournament will begin with a group stage.
- The six teams will be divided into Group A and Group B.
- Each group will consist of three teams.
- Each team will play against every other team within its group.
Points System
- Win: 3 points
- Loss: 0 points
The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
8. Tie-Breaker Rules
If two or more teams finish with the same number of points, the following tie-breaker rules will apply:
1. Head-to-head result
2. Match difference
3. Point difference
4. Tournament Committee’s decision
9. Knockout Stage
The knockout stage will consist of the following semi-final matches:
- Semi-Final 1: Group A 1st Place vs Group B 2nd Place
- Semi-Final 2: Group B 1st Place vs Group A 2nd Place
The winners of both semi-finals will advance to the Final.
Match Scoring Format
10. Group Stage Scoring
- Each match will be played as a single game to 21 points.
- Players will change courts when either side reaches 11 points.
- Deuce applies at 20–20.
- A player or pair must win by two points.
11. Knockout Stage Scoring
- Each match will be played as the best of three games.
- Each game will be played to 15 points.
- Deuce applies at 14–14.
- A player or pair must win by two points.
- There will be a one-minute interval between games.
- There will be no court change during the third game.
Umpire Authority
12. Match Decisions
All decisions made by the umpire are final.
Tournament Schedule
- Registration: 8:30 AM
- Team Captain Briefing: 9:00 AM
- Tournament Start: 9:15 AM sharp
Important Reminders
- Total of 6 participating teams.
- Teams will be divided into Group A and Group B.
- Each team must have 7 main players.
- Each team must have a minimum of 5 male players and 2 female players.
- Each team may register up to 3 substitute players.
- The maximum total roster is 10 players.
- Each team must appoint a Team Captain.
- Team line-ups must be submitted five minutes before each round.
- Players cannot change categories once a round has started.
- The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
